Most of us have something to give. In fact, anything can be given. But the real value of giving is not what we give, but the act of doing it. What is the main intention? Is the act of giving done for something in return? Do we intend to give because we want to give? Do we give because we have more? Or do we give because we want to give and we are happy seeing the person given? The reality of giving is far from over when done. Truly, it makes the other person happy. And if we see that happiness in others and we feel the same way at the sight of them, then perhaps giving has struck the real chord. How much more if we experience the kind of happiness of having nothing or less yet are able to give— indeed, we know our deepest reasons. For all the knowns and unknowns, one thing is certain, sincere giving is power.
